(I think)Boy, this blog is starting to get dusty. I havent updated it for a long time, and even though Im back, I'm not too sure I'll be able to blog as frequently as before. Update: I am still writing up my thesis (aka Writing Up Hell). It's been very slow, but the end appears to be in sight (warning: I also said that a month ago, but the deadline keeps being changed to a later date).<br />I'm also back in Malaysia, and working on my thesis in my own office in UM.<br /><br /><br />I dont really have anything more to say right now...I'm saving all my energy for the last two chapters...and writing is not really a good pastime for someone who is currently writing 9-5, 6 days a week.<br /><br /><br />So, here are a few fossil photos of some specimens I "rediscovered' in my dusty MSC research collections:<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469886926732825554" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTZ99A66V1JEQMPTtj8Eobqamw2SnLw_sM0Hfx0imFj03hNF9wFpbQH0Tb1dx4kZgMe5d9BEP-e8ksBcx1gc95pupR32NRkj40o7OxGpXu2cr0DWy8qAHdZ9ugZBMmlckb-5juNUoMa0g/s400/0002+-+20100507_174503.bmp" /><br /><br /><br /><br /><p>This is a well preserved chonetid from the Utan Aji redbeds. I failed to identify it last time, but using my new microscope, I can see well preserved spines at the valve base. I think this is Malayanoplia</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469887619898133266" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjAHkuUJ5Ln67UP8DW4Dp_Oj-17w17kT58Q5O8WKCekBpd_qBNm91-b_CjuhVeOCyTqtAoWp8xdD9LVsTPjiUM7VTgkUG_TB_nZ2wERTKMr-pTjuDbDFrUhyphenhyphenZCrgxrfRulKWw-05_HY0c/s400/0005+-+20100511_115346.bmp" /><br /><p></p><p>This is also Malayanoplia. Malayanoplia convexe to be exact. The valve preserves some internal structures. Any one wants to be my student at do a study on Malaysian Devonian Carboniferous brachiopods?</p><p><br /> </p><p><br /></p>meor hakifhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11557170702933870192noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6743741453626862587.post-62756207872752062602009-10-16T11:02:00.000-07:002009-10-16T11:04:04.378-07:00Incisivosaurus<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPSuapmh0CZAuMYduH8qJUJeeAZiiVOzn-tEWOhVGUwqi6xwc_L7x2mwi1pGwac2HliszUiGO1aR-5DW6IRZazxBzWDdy0sPcZ6JcRzk0WgkHccmc41ethE-6dAo3v1IpI6WVsAGeYt7g/s1600-h/scan0004.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 340px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5393260099382485602" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPSuapmh0CZAuMYduH8qJUJeeAZiiVOzn-tEWOhVGUwqi6xwc_L7x2mwi1pGwac2HliszUiGO1aR-5DW6IRZazxBzWDdy0sPcZ6JcRzk0WgkHccmc41ethE-6dAo3v1IpI6WVsAGeYt7g/s400/scan0004.jpg" /></a><br /><div>Incisivosaurus, the toothed oviraptorid</div><div>Copyright meor hakif 2009</div>meor hakifhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11557170702933870192noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6743741453626862587.post-78191888998637774322008-12-07T06:19:00.000-08:002008-12-07T06:23:03.363-08:00Leptoceratops....and Hello<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAOhJOj5XtiMdtCgAfwwFMU6Fda4MRYn09PDtCnrj1sEsCEAofLw2L11iQ5rc8ndMlsko2Yk0Sz05olfzvP4IIgftZ47kuTQDXqdX1IdBKaibm0MGKIpkhcltzbnIFG9MIDZs8wOLsvOI/s1600-h/scan0001.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5277053384905860674" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 302px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAOhJOj5XtiMdtCgAfwwFMU6Fda4MRYn09PDtCnrj1sEsCEAofLw2L11iQ5rc8ndMlsko2Yk0Sz05olfzvP4IIgftZ47kuTQDXqdX1IdBKaibm0MGKIpkhcltzbnIFG9MIDZs8wOLsvOI/s400/scan0001.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Hello....This blog is just a place for me to post my drawings on dinosaurs...</div><br /><div>Today...its Leptoceratops gracilis from the Cretaceous of North America.</div><br /><div>Pnecil and Ink</div><br />..Copyright Meor Hakif 2008meor hakifhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11557170702933870192noreply@blogger.com0
