I'm also back in Malaysia, and working on my thesis in my own office in UM.
I dont really have anything more to say right now...I'm saving all my energy for the last two chapters...and writing is not really a good pastime for someone who is currently writing 9-5, 6 days a week.
So, here are a few fossil photos of some specimens I "rediscovered' in my dusty MSC research collections:

This is a well preserved chonetid from the Utan Aji redbeds. I failed to identify it last time, but using my new microscope, I can see well preserved spines at the valve base. I think this is Malayanoplia

This is also Malayanoplia. Malayanoplia convexe to be exact. The valve preserves some internal structures. Any one wants to be my student at do a study on Malaysian Devonian Carboniferous brachiopods?
